Podiatrist (GEM/CLC Medical Director)

Summary

Duties

• The Geriatric and Extended Care Kerrville Geriatric Evaluation and Management Clinic (GEM) or Geri-PACT Medical Director's role is to lead interdisciplinary staff in providing high quality patient centered care to Veterans in the outpatient setting
• The Kerrville GEM clinic provides both primary care and specialty care to geriatric patients
• The medical director is responsible for the quality of care provided by the program - for the productivity of the program and for the development and implementation of programs and initiatives to meet the South Texas Veterans Health Care System (STVHCS) mission
• Duties may include - but are not limited to: Leadership responsibilities Management recruitment
• updates on Functional Statements & Position Descriptions Staff Management Time/Leave Management Business Planning/Systems Redesign Clinical Management Coordination with ED and Hospital Medicine for transfers and admissions Responsibility for Safety and Environmental standards - etc
