- The Deputy Chief of Staff is responsible for the coordination of clinical activities - clinical staff and administrative oversight
- Primary duties include but are not limited to: Formulates and recommends plans for a comprehensive program of medical care
- Develops the requirements of staff - facilities - equipment and supplies needed to support an integrated program - utilizing necessary reviews and controls
- Appraises the effectiveness of the various medical programs in meeting the needs of patient care
- Promotes the development of health care professionals through counseling - mentoring - teaching and encouraging self-assessment
- Works with the Executive Leadership Team to ensure that facility programs reflect the mission and priorities of VHA and VA
- Accomplishes clinical program goals consistent with available resources and participate in the allocation of facility resources and modification of programs to best meet the needs of the Veteran population
- Monitors and promotes compliance with VA regulations and professional standards pertaining to outside professional activities and ethical conduct
- Creates and promotes a High Reliability Organization - fostering an environment of system oriented continuous quality improvement - within which program and quality of care effectiveness are evaluated
- Provide oversight of the credentialing and privileging facility to include oversight of regulatory and legal issue - monitoring medical staff and other licensed independent practitioner's compliance and quality of practice
- Work Schedule: Monday - Friday - 8:00am - 4:30pm Telework: Ad-Hoc (Occasional or Irregular basis) Virtual: This is not a virtual position

Salary : $180,000 - $375,000
