Summary

This position is eligible for the Education Debt Reduction Program (EDRP) - a student loan payment reimbursement program. You must meet specific eligibility requirements per VHA policy and submit your EDRP application within four months of appointment. Program Approval - award amount (up to $200 -000) & eligibility period (one to five years) are determined by the VHA Education Loan Repayment Services program office after review of the EDRP application. Former EDRP participants ineligible to apply.

• Dole VAMC in Parsons - KS
• The duties and responsibilities of the Primary Care PACT provider includes - but are not limited to - the following: Responsible for providing Primary Care Services to Veterans of the Parsons CBOC
• The PACT Provider may be asked to provide care in various settings to include outpatient clinics - inpatient units such as Intensive Care and Med/Surg - and in the Emergency Department
• Staff within the Primary Care area are ultimately responsible for all aspects of medical care and provide or assist residents and/or other mid-level practitioners in the process of evaluation and treatment of the Primary Care patients
• Evaluate the patient to assess changes in the physical and mental status
• A progress note is written in the patient's chart
• Notes also include the concurrence with notes written by the resident and attending notes as appropriate
• The Primary Care PACT provider is responsible to coordinate with providers within their own and outside of their own Service Line - and with other VHA facilities or community providers as determined by the plan of care for the Veteran
• Perform consultations within their own and other service lines as indicated
• They are responsible for the provision of clinical care - graduate and undergraduate medical education - and scientific research as appropriate
• Staff within Primary Care are participate in various hospital committees - departmental and hospital in-service programs - and education programs of the department and the hospital
• They are also involved in continuous quality improvement through peer review process
• Work Schedule: Monday - Friday - 8:00am - 4:30pm
