Duties
- The Battle Creek VA Medical Center is hiring a Physician Assistant for the Wyoming VA Clinic to provide Primary Care Mental Health Integration care to Veterans in an Outpatient setting
- ROUTINE DUITIES: The PA is authorized to perform the following duties as granted
- During the performance of the following duties - a staff physician must be available for consultation by telephone and - if summoned - be physically present at the site of the procedure within a reasonable period of time
- In addition to the routine duties shown below - you are authorized to perform the following Emergency Duties for patients with a life-threatening situation where a physician is not immediately available
- A physician will be summoned as soon as possible
- Basic Life Support in accordance with current Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation standards
- Monitor and stabilize life-threatening traumatic injuries until emergency medical service arrives
- Initial treatment of acute respiratory failure
- Other routine duties include: Administrative duties such as Quality Assurance - Peer Review - serving on various committees as may be directed by the Service Chief or administration
- Function as a PA in both IP and OP settings as assigned
- Precept Physician Assistant students
- Provide healthcare classes to patients and/or staff
- Work Schedule: Monday to Friday
- 8:00 am to 4:30 pm
- Hours may vary based on Veteran's needs
