Qualifications

Duties
- Coordinates preparation of informational briefings for use at Federal - State and local government conferences - hearings and other public speaking engagements - especially national and state conventions of the leading recognized Veterans organizations - ensuring the Department's goals and initiatives on homeless Veterans are met and accurate data is disseminated
- Responsible for the coordination and outcomes related to the provision of programs and services for homeless Veterans and their families
- Responsible for formulating and recommending all of the Department's policies - plans - projects - and initiatives regarding Veterans homelessness issues
- Responsible for a nearly $1.4B budget which supports the various programs - initiatives and services provided to homeless veterans nationwide
- Directs the development of Departmental strategies and other organizational proposals for VA initiatives - projects - and programs pertaining to homelessness among Veterans (including Veterans Health and Benefits Administrations and other VA staff offices)
- Oversees the coordination and operation of nearly 16 Homeless Programs and Initiatives to include: Veteran Justice Outreach
- Community Resource Referral Centers(CRRC)
- Domiciliary Care for Homeless Veterans (DCHV).
