Duties
- Duties include but are not limited to: Operates - regulates - maintains - and repairs the Boiler Plant Unit of the Utility Systems Operation Section of Facilities Management Service
- Safely and efficiently operate high pressure automatic gas and oil fired boilers and all associated auxiliary equipment - instruments - electronic/pneumatic controls and measuring devices in a steam generating plant
- Operates the Chiller Plant and all utility systems and equipment associated with the steam and chilled water distribution systems
- Monitors and controls Medical Center Heating - Ventilation and Air Conditioning (HVAC) systems
- Monitor other medical center equipment through hardwired devices to the Boiler Plant - i.e. - generators - intrusion alarms - space temperatures - etc
- Maintain utility systems and related equipment in the boiler plant - i.e. - valves - pumps - motors - and exhaust fans
- Work Schedule: Rotating Shifts - subject to change due to position coverage

- Physical Requirements: Selectee will work from ladders platforms - and in hard to reach locations
- Work on close - cramped positions inside boilers
