Summary
This position serves primarily as a Heating - Ventilation - and Air Conditioning (HV AC) Mechanic. Duties
- Primary Duties Include but are not limited to: Provides comprehensive technical support for all air conditioning and refrigeration equipment
- Discusses maintenance problems with technical personnel
- Exercises skill in interpreting electronic - electrical - and mechanical drawings - specifications - and schematics of custom systems
- Provides support for the operating - maintaining - repairing and adjusting HVAC controls systems
- Completes work orders and Preventive Maintenance using proper maintenance practices and following manufacturer's recommendations
- Maintains complex electronic systems and equipment which are vital to the hospital's ability to provide health care
- Takes proper corrective action to restore the device to its fully operational level
- Responsible for updating the equipment spare part inventory program when withdrawing from spare part inventory cache to make repairs
- Completes work orders and Preventive Maintenance using proper maintenance practices and following manufacturer's recommendations in order to extend the life of equipment
- Provides technical support of these systems includes the preventive maintenance - installation - evaluation - troubleshoots - repair - calibration - testing - and modification etc
- Employs improvising troubleshooting practices when needed
- Performs all work using proper safety practices and Personal Protective Equipment
- Selects the proper tools Must know the principles and theories of air conditioning and refrigeration - temperature measurement - properties of refrigerants
