A minimum of a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) and successful completion of the National Council Licensure Examination (NCLEX), https://nclex.com/index.page is required. Must possess a current, active, full, and unrestricted license or registration as a professional nurse from a State, the District of Columbia, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, or a territory of the United States. The license must be verifiable through the National Council of State Boards of Nursing (NCSBN) nurse licensure and disciplinary database and must be maintained throughout employment with DoWEA.

Bachelor's degrees in programs other than nursing is acceptable only if possession of a current, active, full, and unrestricted nurse license or registration as a professional nurse from a State, the District of Columbia, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, or a territory of the United States is presented. Nurses from Puerto Rico will be required to show proof of passing the National Council Licensure Examination (NCLEX), https://nclex.com/index.page.

Education:FOREIGN EDUCATION: If you are using education completed in foreign colleges or universities to meet the qualification requirements, you must show the education credentials have been evaluated by a private organization that specializes in interpretation of foreign education programs and such education has been deemed equivalent to that gained in an accredited U.S. education program; or full credit has been given for the courses at a U.S. accredited college or university.
