You will serve as a INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY CYBERSECURITY SPECIALIST (INFOSEC) in the SPECIALTY CYBER BRANCH (BL72300) in the OPERATIONS DEPARTMENT, NAVAL AIR WARFARE CENTER AIRCRAFT DIVISION SE & ALRE GROUP of NAVAIRWARCENADLKENAVAIRWARCENADLKE.Qualifications:Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following as a professional INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY CYBERSECURITY SPECIALIST (INFOSEC), performing some or all of the following duties:
  • Identifying the IT requirements for IT projects and establishing the means to implement the projects; leading IT functions related to data investigation, collection, consolidation, remediation, manipulation, transformation, and presentation.
  • Leading various IT functions in support of Data Analytics efforts, including development of programs, information systems, network operations and other facets of IT support. Leading incident response functions.
  • Experience managing Supply Chain Risk and assisting supported programs through the phases of acquisition; performing cyber analytics.
  • Analyzing and implementing organizational IT system's policy in terms of logical and physical deployment of appropriate software and hardware or through the development of standard work packages (SWPs) and standard operating procedures to ensure system and process compliance; implementing the Risk Management Framework (RMF) processes as well as other cybersecurity processes.
  • Researching and developing proposals and presenting reports/presentations tailored to the leadership and technical level of the audience.

This a Defense Acquisition Workforce position that requires an Engineering and Technical Management, Foundational acquisition certification. The incumbent has 36 months to earn this certification. Incumbent must obtain and maintain certification in accordance with DoD Instruction 5000.66.

Acquisition Workforce (AWF) members must complete 80 hours of Continuous Learning Points (CLPs) every two (2) years, in accordance with DoDI 5000.66. Workforce members are encouraged to earn their CLPs by completing Defense Acquisition University (DAU) Credentials. Obtaining certification within the allotted grace period and maintaining CLPs before and after achieving certification are conditions of employment. Failure to meet these requirements could result in disciplinary action and/or removal from employment.

Cyberspace Workforce (CWF) Requirement

This position has been designated as a Cyberspace Workforce position in the DoD Cyber Workforce Framework (DCWF) work role of 531: Cyber Defense Incident Responder, proficiency level: Intermediate and, as a condition of employment, the incumbent of the position is required to obtain and maintain qualification in accordance with DoDM 8140.03 Cyber Workforce Qualification and Management Program, February 15, 2023 and supporting Department of Navy policies.

This designation requires the incumbent to:

1. Obtain the foundational qualification within nine months and the residential qualification within 12 months of appointment and maintain those credentials as described in DoDM 8140.03 for DCWF role of 531: Cyber Defense Incident Responder, proficiency level: Intermediate. For more information, please review DoDM 8140.03 and supporting DON policies.

2. Participate in continuous professional development program as described in DoDM 8140.03. An annual 20 hour minimum of Cyber Workforce related continuous professional development must be documented and completed in a current individual development plan signed by both the employee and supervisor. Continuous professional development begins in the fiscal year after the employee has obtained both foundational and residential qualification requirements.

3. Acknowledge responsibilities in writing via command designation letter.

Failure to meet a condition of employment may result in disciplinary and/or adverse action up to removal from federal service.
