About the Position: Serves as Human Resources Specialist in the Civilian Human Resources Agency, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Human Resources Directorate. Provides management advisory services by evaluating position management in assigned organizations and provides assistance to supervisors and operating officials on ways to improve structure, work distribution, and the use of employee skills.Qualifications:

Specialized Experience for the GS-12: One year of specialized experience which includes 1) Applying position classification standards to professional, administrative and interdisciplinary positions to determine appropriate pay plan, occupational series, title and grade level; AND 2) Advising management on classification issues, desk audits, and staffing issues; AND 3) Serving as the technical advisor to management on classification regulations and position management requirements. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11).
Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-11).
