About the Position: Provide a variety of clerical, administrative and associated typing/automation duties related to processing and managing service order and work order authorization documents and information. Use a variety of commercial-off-the-shelf software applications and other web-based information systems.Qualifications:

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes working in an office setting preparing a variety of narrative and/or tabular material; applying administrative practices and work processes to review documents for content, grammar and spelling accuracy; independently respond to routine and non-technical requests for information; disseminate information concerning new or changing administrative guidance; and utilizing automated systems such as word processing, spreadsheets systems in support of organizational assignments. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-06).
Proficiency Required:This position requires a qualified typist. A qualified typist can type 40 words per minute based on a 5 minute sample with three or fewer errors.
Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-06).Education:Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted.
