This office furnishes producers, buyers, and other interested members of the trade, as well as the consuming public, with a wide range of timely, accurate, and impartial information on supply, demand, movement, distribution, prices and price trends, and other related economic factors on which market decisions can be based, thereby, facilitating the orderly production, distribution, and consumption of livestock, swine, lamb, sheep, poultry, eggs, hay, meat, grain, and their related products. - Providing technical guidance or oversight to staff engaged in market reporting activities, including evaluating work products, recommending improvements to reporting processes, or assisting with planning, scheduling, or coordinating reporting operations across field offices or coverage areas.
- Collaborating with internal and external stakeholders, such as producers, industry representatives, Federal or State agencies, brokers, or buyers to gather market intelligence, communicate reporting requirements, and maintain cooperative working relationships in support of program operations.
