Job Summary
Full-time, first shift programming, setup and operation of CNC and manual equipment to machine castings to customer prints.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Program, Set up, operate and maintain machine tools (CNC Lathes and / or Mills)
- Read and interpret drawings
- Compute and document dimensions and tolerances
- Determine machining operation to be performed
- Plan the best sequence of operations
- Contribute to continuous improvement of operation
- Verify dimensions of products
- Knowledge and ability to operate manual machine tools
Education
Courses completed in machining
High School Diploma (or equivalent)
Skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Great attention to detail
- Good manual dexterity
- Good math skills
- Reads blueprints properly
- Solves problems effectively
- Visualizes finished products easily
