- Cleans, empties trash, dusts, disinfects, and deodorizes rooms, corridors, stairways, toilet facilities and other areas.
- Sweeps, mops, vacuums, scrubs, strips and polishes using light and heavy duty powered equipment.
- Operates industrial equipment to clean rugs, drapes, etc. - moving furniture when necessary. Performs routine maintenance of equipment.
- Washes walls, windows, blinds and ceiling fixtures using ladders, scaffolds and safety belt. Maintains stock of room and cleaning supplies to perform assigned duties.
- Other duties as assigned.

- A one-year probationary period may be required.
- Satisfactorily complete an employment verification (E-Verify) check.
- Appointment subject to favorable suitability determination.

- Incumbent may also be required to complete a Tier 1 background investigation for a Common Access Card for physical access to federally-controlled facilities.
- Must meet physical requirements of the position.
- Possess and maintain the physical ability to stand and walk on hard and carpeted surfaces with some bending, lifting, carrying, pushing and pulling of items or carts weighing up to 20 to 40 pounds, and occasionally over 50 pounds.
- Willing to accept an Intermittent, or Flexible Appointment.
- Possess a valid Driver's License, or are able to obtain a Driver's License by entrance of duty.
- Schedule will be based on the needs of the activity. Must be able and willing to work a schedule during the hours of 6:00pm and 02:30am.

Employees may also be eligible to receive extra pay if the majority of their scheduled hours falls after 3:00 PM.
