Duties

  • Advisor to the Resource Management Officer (RMO) and Commander on matters related to developing and executing Spend Plans and tracking obligations.
  • Implement the planning, programming, budgeting and execution of the command's current, expired and future funding.
  • Execute the Risk Management Internal Controls (RMIC) Program and the roles and responsibilities.
  • Implement compliance and regulatory guidelines for Defense Travel System (DTS) and Government Travel Card (GTC) travel transactions.
  • Establish and record commitments, obligations, accruals, and disbursements.

  • In accordance with Change 3 to AR 600-85, Alcohol and Drug Abuse Prevention and Control Program, individual must successfully pass a urinalysis screening for illegal drug use prior to appointment and periodically thereafter.
  • All INSCOM employees may be subject to extended TDY or worldwide deployments during crisis situations to perform mission essential functions as determined by management.
  • viii. This position requires DoD Financial Management Certification Program Level 2.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Top Secret security clearance based on a T5 (or equivalent level) investigation with eligibility for sensitive compartmented information (SCI).

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes:

  • Examining, analyzing and interpreting accounting data, records and reports utilizing automated accounting and budget systems;
  • Providing information and guidance to program managers on procedures and documents to support formulation estimates; and
  • Performing budget execution tasks, such as tracking funds, reconciling commitments/obligations, reallocating funds, consolidating budget estimates, and noting variances.

This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS/GG-11).

Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted.
