U.P. State Credit Union is seeking a detail‑oriented and motivated Mortgage Loan Officer to join our member‑focused lending team. This role is ideal for someone who values relationships, community impact, and helping members achieve homeownership with confidence. This position will be in our Sault Ste Marie office but may require periodic travel to our Saint Ignace, Cedarville, and Kincheloe offices. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Guide members through the mortgage process from application to closing
• Evaluate creditworthiness and recommend appropriate loan products
• Build strong relationships with members, realtors, and community partners
• Ensure compliance with lending regulations and internal policies
• Provide exceptional service with a focus on transparency and trust
  
  

Qualifications

• 1 years of mortgage lending or processing experience
• Strong knowledge of mortgage products, underwriting, and regulations
• Excellent communication and member‑service skills
• Ability to work independently and meet production goals
• Commitment to the credit union philosophy of “people helping people”
