Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly and assist with seating arrangements, ensuring a welcoming atmosphere from the moment they arrive
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, and communicate effectively with kitchen staff
- Serve food and drinks promptly while maintaining presentation standards, including fine dining service when applicable
- Handle cash register operations with precision, including cash handling, credit card processing, and balancing registers at shift end
- Upsell menu items and specials to enhance guest experience and increase sales opportunities
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards by bussing tables, cleaning workstations, and adhering to food safety protocols
- Assist with food preparation or kitchen support when needed, demonstrating culinary experience and knowledge of food handling practices
Requirements
- Proficiency with POS systems such as Aloha POS, Micros POS, or similar platforms; experience with OpenTable is a plus
- Strong customer service skills with an emphasis on guest relations and hospitality excellence
- Ability to manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment while multitasking seamlessly
- Knowledge of food safety regulations, sanitation procedures, and proper food handling techniques
- Experience with food industry tools like serving trays, bussing supplies, and basic math for cash handling
- Excellent communication skills along with a friendly attitude that fosters guest satisfaction
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, or nights as required by the restaurant’s hours of operation
