Overview
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Painter to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in various painting techniques and related carpentry skills. This role involves preparing surfaces, applying paint, and ensuring a high-quality finish on both residential and commercial projects. The Painter will work closely with other tradespeople to complete projects efficiently and to the highest standards.
Responsibilities
- Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, and caulking as necessary.
- Apply paint, varnish, or other finishes using brushes, rollers, or spray equipment.
- Perform frame carpentry and trim carpentry tasks as needed to enhance the overall appearance of painted areas.
- Execute remodeling projects that require both painting and maintenance person skills.
- Install fixtures and ensure proper finishing touches are applied to all painted surfaces.
- Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition to ensure safety and efficiency on the job site.
- Collaborate with team members to meet project deadlines while maintaining quality standards.
- Conduct concrete finishing tasks when required for specific projects.
- Follow all safety protocols and guidelines while working in various environments.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Painter with a strong portfolio of completed work.
- Proficiency in frame carpentry, trim carpentry, caulking, and remodeling techniques.
- Experience in industrial painting is a plus.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Strong attention to detail with excellent time management skills.
- Knowledge of safety practices related to painting and construction work.
- A valid driver’s license may be required for travel between job sites.
