Tyto Athene is hiring a Data Visualization Developer to join a newly awarded Cybersecurity and IT Risk Management contract supporting a federal customer. This role involves designing and developing data-driven visualizations, dashboards, and web applications to support mission-critical analytics initiatives.

Location Hybrid-remote in Washington, DC, with expected 2-3 days on-site per week

Responsibilities
- Develop and deliver modular, scalable software applications to support customer analytics needs.
- Create and edit visual content including maps, charts, and graphs.
- Transform data sets, both quantitative and qualitative, into compelling visuals that inform decision-making.
- Provide visual, technical, and editorial guidance across cybersecurity teams.
- Support web development, web engineering, and dashboard integration.
- Work with large datasets, performing ETL (extract, transform, load) using languages like Python or R and database systems such as SQL Server or MySQL.
- Design dashboard layouts, visual elements, and interactivity, including chart types, color palettes, and other design elements to ensure clarity and impact.
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience
- Experience with SQL and PowerBI for dashboarding.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain complex data insights clearly to diverse audiences.
- Experience with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
- Experience with Python or R and database systems such as SQL Server or MySQL.
