Tyto Athene is searching for a Military Intelligence Analyst to support the Office of the Secretary of War (OSW), Cost Assessment and Program Evaluation (CAPE), Defense Analyst Support Hub (DASH). This position will entail:
Responsibilities:
- Collecting and analyzing current-year and future-year Allied and Partner forces data to include readiness, exercises, and training, in support of studies and analyses directed by the Department’s senior leadership and analytic community.
- Researching a wide variety of additional possible data sources to provide customers with data and analysis about forces and capabilities.
- Researching Allied and Partner data to assess, describe, and document the conditions of data availability as well as identify, describe, and document constraints such as classification, format, and data pedigree.
- Providing data sources and data analysis as required to support scenarios, CONOPS/forces, baselines, studies, and analyses.
- Positively interacting with customers to include the Joint Staff, OSW, DoW Intelligence Community, and the COCOMs.
- The successful candidate must have a strong work ethic, be a team player, and demonstrate excellent oral and written communications skills. The individual must work with other government and contractor planners and possess strong leadership and technical skills.

Required:
- Bachelor’s Degree and 8 years of experience, or Master’s Degree and 4 years of experience.
- Degree in Intelligence Analysis, Operations Research, International Relations, Political Science, History, or related Social Science area.
- Experience researching and providing validated intelligence data from the U.S. Intelligence Community (IC), and other sources.
- Understanding of U.S. and non-U.S. Military Forces (such as force structure; equipment; readiness, training, exercises, doctrine; strategy; tactics, and missions and capabilities).
- Knowledge of the U.S. intelligence community structure.
- Experience combining data sources, building data stores, and collaborating with data science teams to build solutions.
- Demonstrated abilities to develop and present briefings to senior DoW officials or other senior leadership groups.
- High level of experience with the Microsoft Office suite of software.
- Experience handling classified materials.
Desired:
- Military experience highly desired.
- Experience working in the Joint Staff, OSW, or a Combatant Command.
- Experience with identifying, collecting, developing, managing, and interpreting current-year and future-year non-U.S. space, cyber, and electromagnetic spectrum (EMS) data.
- Database software experience strongly preferred in:
- Microsoft Excel and Access: writing queries, developing reports, developing database structures, normalizing disparate data sets, creating pivot tables and using power functions.
- Oracle Business Intelligence: creating queries, pivot tables, reports and graphics.
- Experience in Tableau, Qlik, a plus.
- Demonstrated abilities (preferably 3 or more years) supporting government efforts and working on teams conducting operations and research analysis with government (civilian and military) and contractor representatives from across the DoW Components.
- Work experience in the U.S. Intelligence Community, DIA, service intelligence center (ONI, NGIC, NASIC, etc.), or one of the national/COCOM intelligence centers analyzing military forces is a plus.
- Experience and familiarity with the Pacific and/or Europe/NATO regional areas.
Clearance:
- Active DoD Top Secret with SCI clearance
Location:
- Mark Center, in Alexandria Virginia, with occasional travel to the Pentagon and other offices in the National Capital Region.
