SUMMARY
:
The Supervisor Production plays a crucial role in maintaining high production standards, ensuring quality and yields, and fostering the safest working environment possible. This role demands a deep understanding and control of the production process, accurate record-keeping, and effective line maintenance and staffing.
Key Responsibilities
Production Management:
Check daily production orders to ensure customer orders are fulfilled.
- Ensure every position is filled before the start-up of the production line.
- Oversee Team Member morning exercises and job rotation to facilitate ergonomics.
Ensure all machinery is performing to the highest standard possible.
Quality and Safety:
Ensure all workstations have passed USDA Inspection.
- Promote safety daily and through monthly safety meetings.
Ensure accurate shipments, rotation of inventory, and proper coding of products.
Team Leadership:
Communicate company benefits and compensation policies to Team Members.
- Provide encouragement to Team Members to build the best team possible.
Perform human relations functions such as training, retaining, and counseling on personal and professional problems.
Operational Oversight:
Oversee various processing operations and collaborate with other supervisors to solve problems.
- Keep records of reworked or returned products.
- Provide continuous education on the importance of quality.
- Perform other responsibilities as needed.
REQUIREMENTS
:
Education
: High school diploma; education beyond high school including special training, vocational school and/or college courses is preferred.
Computer Skills
: Basic computer skills helpful.
Communication Skills
: Strong communication skills.
Supervisory
: This position is responsible for supervising a group of personnel who perform somewhat identical and related tasks or
activities.
Travel
: 1-5 trips per year.
