SUMMARY:

Specific duties of a Security Guard include:
- Checking identification of all visitors, vendors, contractors, and Team Members, allowing only authorized personnel into the facility.
- Checking all carry-in items including bags, briefcases, toolboxes, lunchboxes, etc.
- Writing investigative reports.
- Preliminary investigations of accidents, thefts, workplace violence, and other incidents as needed.
- Roving or walking through the plant areas to check physical facility security.
- Log truck traffic during ingress and egress to the facility and inspection of all motor vehicles driven into the plant.
- Requires a valid drivers' license.
- Must be able to pass a background check.

REQUIREMENTS:
- Education: Prefer high school diploma or GED or equivalent
- Experience: Investigative skills helpful but not mandatory.
- Computer Skills: Basic computer skills.
- Communication Skills: Must have excellent interpersonal communication skills and be able to effectively communicate under stressful situations.
- Environment: Must be able and willing to work in both hot and cold temperatures. Temperatures depend on outside climate.
- Other: Be able to work both independently under supervision and have a positive work ethic attitude.
