The Scale House Operator:

The Scale House Operator:
- weighs the trailers of full cages as they arrive from the farm; keeps a record on a separate back dock sheet and ensure it matches what is entered in the system.
- Weighs the trailers of empty cages keeps records in the system and back dock report.
- Records all weights on appropriate paperwork and gives the information to the plant receiving clerk; coordinates the schedule of the trailers to the plant live receiving department; maintains copies of the weight tickets and distributes to the appropriate areas; weigh outside trucks as necessary and provides drivers with the weight ticket
- answers phone
- general housekeeping duties in workspace.
- keep management informed of any issues with scale or holding area; and along with any other task as assigned by supervisor.
- good computer skills and ability to work closely with drivers.
- Must be willing and able to lift occasionally 25lb.
- Could be subject to temperature ranging from 0 to 100 Degrees occasionally when checking fans or birds in all climate conditions.
