Job Title: Long Haul Driver
Needs: 1
Pay: $0.50 cents per mile plus $25.45/hour for loading/unloading time
Hours: Average of 2 trips per week.
Day of the Week: This is varied based on business need.
Job Description: THIS POSITION IS RESPONSIBLE FOR THE OPERATION OF A COMMERCIAL VEHICLE AND HAULING LIVE SWINE WHILE MAINTAINING A SAFE WORK ENVIRONMENT AND ADHERING TO TYSON POLICIES AND PROCEDURES. APPLICANTS WILL BE CONSIDERED FOR THE LONG HAUL DRIVER POSITION ONLY. APPLICANTS MUST BE WILLING TO TRANSPORT LIVE SWINE OF VARIOUS AGES TO VARIOUS LOCATIONS. APPLICANTS MUST BE WILLING TO ENSURE ANIMAL HANDLING PRACTICES ARE EXECUTED.
Applicant must pass a DOT urine test and hair follicle test. Must have a valid Class A Commercial Driver's License in the state of residence. Age 21 or older Must have twelve (12) months or more of verifiable tractor trailer driving experience. Must be able to pass a D.O.T. Physical Examination and Drug Screening ,as outlined in the D.O.T Regulations, as well as a hair follicle drug test. Must be able to pass a road Test. Must live in defined hiring area. Must be willing to park at designated parking area. No disqualifying number of accidents or convictions as determined according to the current Tyson Driver Evaluation System Procedure. Must not have a DUI or DWI conviction in a commercial motor vehicle. Must not have a DUI or DWI conviction in a personal vehicle in the last (8) eight years. Must not have tested positive D.O.T. Drug or Alcohol test in the past (3) three years. Must meet Tyson Minimum qualification requirement on the PSP report.
