Job Description – Groundskeeper Labor

• Maintain the cleanliness and appearance of facility grounds and surrounding property.
• Mow, trim, edge, and maintain lawns, landscaping, and grassy areas.
• Remove trash, debris, weeds, leaves, and other materials from grounds and parking areas.
• Assist with planting, watering, pruning, and maintaining trees, shrubs, and flower beds.
• Operate and maintain landscaping equipment such as mowers, trimmers, blowers, and utility vehicles.
• Perform basic outdoor maintenance, including fence repairs, painting, and upkeep of walkways and common areas.
• Assist with snow, ice, storm, or weather-related cleanup as needed.
• Report safety concerns, damaged property, or equipment issues to supervisors.
• Follow all company safety policies and procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.
  
  

Requirements

• Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions, including heat, cold, rain, and humidity.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, kneel, and perform physical labor for extended periods.
• Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds or more as required.
• Ability to safely operate landscaping and grounds maintenance equipment.
• Knowledge of basic landscaping and groundskeeping practices preferred.
• Strong attention to safety and detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Reliable attendance and flexibility to work varying schedules when needed.
• Previous groundskeeping, landscaping, maintenance, or general labor experience preferred but not required.
• This position is responsible for performing a wide variety of skilled and semi-skilled building maintenance and repairs and landscaping tasks while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures.
  
  

Rehire Criteria:

• Applicants must be able to work with others to adhere to Tyson's safety culture. If an applicant meets the minimum requirements for consideration, they may be contacted for a visit to the facility.
• Prior Employee Waiting Period: If you were previously employed at Tyson, there’s a 180-day waiting period before you can reapply.
