Job Details:
Hours: 6:00 am – 2:30 pm Monday-Friday;
Additionally as needed to insure maximum equipment operation
SUMMARY: This position will maintain the grounds for the farm, ensuring mowing, building upkeep, snow removal,etc.
REQUIREMENT: 6 month work history or participant of any industrial maintenance educational program, maintenance experience preferred

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSBILITIES:
- Responsible for repairs to vehicle equipment
- Maintain and operate farm equipment
- Maintain appropriate parts inventory
- Maintaining farm grounds
- Other specific duties as required; inclusive of all farm work responsibilities, cooperating with others as needed to complete necessary tasks
- Ability to carry out essential duties and responsibilities efficiently, within safety guidelines
- Ability to operate all farm equipment efficiently, within safety guidelines
- Ability to efficiently use hand tools and trades type tools, to provide maintenance of all farm equipment
- Strong mechanic background preferred
- Basic electrical and plumbing experience preferred
- Required to learn essential farm animal husbandry practices
- Willingness to work overtime and be called into work for emergency situations as required
- Stand/Walk: Continuously
- Lift/Carry: Frequently (1-10 lbs), occasionally (up to 35-50 lbs.)
- Other Physical Requirements:
- Occasionally; bend/stoop, squat, crawl, climb, reach above shoulder, crouch, kneel, push/pull
- Frequently; grasp
- Continuously; working around moving machinery, in areas with marked changes in temperature and humidity, exposure to dust and fumes, occasionally working at unprotected heights, around and amongst dead birds and a strong chicken odor
- Max of two (2) previous Tyson Employments to be considered for hire.
