Key Responsibilities:
- Direct and train supervisors in production paperwork, time and attendance, discipline, motivation, turnover, absenteeism, safety, problem-solving, etc.
- Accountable for performance areas including safety, quality, workers' compensation, turnover, bid movement, and Team Member morale.
- Conduct audits and inspections across all areas of the production floor, including accessing fixed ladders, stairs, and steps.
- Tolerate environmental conditions in the area of responsibility, with temperatures ranging from 28 - 45 degrees.
- Manage all Production Operations at the facility, including overseeing production supervisors, department production schedules, product rotation, CCP verification schedules, and the safety committee.
- Review team members in supervisory roles and develop improvement plans for deficient areas.
- Focus on development plans with direct reports.
- Ensure compliance with HACCP principles and perform CCP monitoring and verification.
- Some travel required as needed.
- Education: Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
- Experience: At least 1 year in a supervisory role. Two years of employment at Tyson or equivalent experience preferred. Familiarity with processing floor operations is a plus; HACCP certification and understanding of basic HACCP principles are beneficial. Knowledge of fresh meats processing is a plus.
- Physical Requirements: Must be able to access all areas of the production floor to conduct audits and inspections; able to tolerate environmental conditions in the area of responsibility; temperature ranges from 28 - 45 degrees.
- Computer Skills: Computer skills and SAP is required.
- Communication Skills: Good written and verbal communication skills. Able to communicate with all levels of management.
- Special Skills: Team leadership, problem-solving, and motivation to take on special projects.
- Supervisory: Responsible for all Production Operations at the facility, including managing production supervisors, department production schedules, product rotation, CCP verification schedules, and overseeing the safety committee.
- Travel: Some travel required as needed.
