Job Duties:

This position is responsible for performing a wide variety of skilled and semi-skilled building maintenance and repairs, and landscaping tasks, while maintaining a safe work environment, and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures. The essential functions of this job include, but are not limited to: general grounds maintenance, preventive maintenance and repairs to equipment and/or facility grounds. This position is responsible for performing daily/weekly general grounds maintenance. This position makes any necessary repairs to the grounds, in example mowing, weed eating, mulch, general cleanliness of parking lots, smoking areas, and other areas as needed & required by Management. Assists with maintenance throughout the entire facility as required. May work other shifts when necessary. Will work very closely with other maintenance personnel in order to receive and pass along information concerning the job. Must be able to work with other devices that are very fragile and require precise attention. Must be willing to operate a motor vehicle, lawn mower, ground testing equipment, and various small hand tools. Must have good hand-eye coordination and be capable of moving materials, etc., of 40 pounds when needed. Must be able to work on grounds inside and outside, which may involve bending, turning, stooping, twisting, and climbing and be able to move freely throughout the plant (indoors and outdoors) over and around equipment, people and obstacles. Must be able to tolerate climates, including seasonal, ranging from very cold to very hot and form very wet to very dry. Any other responsibilities assigned by supervisor.

Position will be for 1st shift (days).

Maintenance crews work 7 days per week. Scheduling can include some major holidays.

Requirements:

3x Times Worked Maximum with Tyson Foods

90 Day Rehire Waiting Period

Must Have at least 6 months of continuous work History with the same employer within the last 24 months.

High School Diploma or GED is required; Application Resume is required.
