Position Summary
Teacher must be able to provide standard based instruction that supports the academic and social development of students. Develop and implement instructional plans aligned with North Carolina state standards and district curriculum. Create a safe and supportive classroom environment and monitor student progress to ensure achievement of educational goals.
Essential Duties
- Plan and deliver effective instruction aligned with state standards and district curriculum.
- Develop lesson plans and instructional materials to meet the needs of diverse learners.
- Assess and monitor student progress and maintain accurate records.
- Establish and maintain an effective classroom management system.
- Create a positive learning environment that encourages student engagement and achievement.
- Communicate regularly with parents/guardians regarding student progress.
- Collaborate with colleagues, administrators, and support staff.
- Participate in professional development and school improvement initiatives.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the principal or designee.

- Instructional methods, curriculum development, and classroom management.
- Student-centered and differentiated learning strategies.
- Effective communication, organization, and data-driven instruction.
- Integration of educational technology into classroom instruction.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in Education or a related field.
- Valid North Carolina teaching license or eligibility for licensure through the North Carolina Department of Public Instruction.
- Strong instructional, classroom management, and communication skills.
