Seven-attorney quickly growing personal injury firm seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Legal Assistant to join a team of ten paralegals and four legal assistants in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. Looking for a legal assistant to independently be able to set up files, communicate with clients, and be an integral part of each case.

Personal Injury Legal Assistant Responsibilities
- Meets with attorneys, clients, and other professionals to discuss assigned cases or projects.
- Open and close files.
- Setting up claims with insurance companies.
- All intake paperwork for the insurers.
- Helping clients get initial documents.
- Handling the attorney’s calendar in an efficient and accurate manner.
- Light dictation.
- Serving and filing documents in litigation.
- Coordinating depositions.
- Prepares, organizes, stores, and retrieves case files, which may include evidence, exhibits, depositions, pleadings, exhibits, and other items.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Personal Injury Legal Assistant Qualifications
- 1 year of experience in a law firm and personal injury experience required.
- Approach problem solving proactively and have the ability to both work independently and collaborate with peers.
- Motivated, reliable, and able to work within a professional firm environment.
- Exceptional writing abilities.
- Ability to meet deadlines.
- Capability to follow detailed instructions.
- Must be able to work well in a team environment, have exceptional interpersonal communication skills, and a strong desire to develop and advance their legal career.
Personal Injury Legal Assistant Skills
- Perceptive and meticulous.
- Capacity to regulate and perform under stress.
- Ability to stay focused on numerous details while maintaining a high level of accuracy.
- Anticipating attorney’s needs, identifying problems, and finding solutions.
- Ability to meet deadlines.
- Experience with legal document management systems preferred.
- Experience using firm software and case management programs, and office productivity preferred.
