Duties

  • Operate and monitor snowmaking machines and related equipment, including compressors, pumps, and piping systems to produce high-quality snow.
  • Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on snowmaking infrastructure to ensure reliable operation.
  • Adjust water flow, air pressure, and temperature controls to optimize snow production based on weather conditions.
  • Collaborate with team members to coordinate snow coverage plans and execute snowmaking schedules efficiently.
  • Maintain detailed records of equipment performance, maintenance activities, and operational logs.
  • Assist with site preparation tasks such as setting up hoses, electrical connections, and ensuring safety protocols are followed during operations.
  • Support additional winter maintenance activities like grooming trails or assisting with snow removal when needed.

Skills

  • Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot and repair snowmaking machinery and related equipment.
  • Experience with power tools, hand tools, and basic construction or landscaping techniques.
  • Familiarity with irrigation systems, water management, and outdoor equipment maintenance.
  • Knowledge of lawn care, landscape maintenance, horticulture, and gardening practices is a plus.
  • Ability to operate heavy machinery such as excavators or other construction equipment safely.
  • Skills in snow plowing, tree care (including trimming), mowing, and hardscape work are advantageous.
