Department Description:

A summer at Typhoon Texas in the Birthday Department is the Best. Party. Ever. You will gain valuable work experience that will last you a lifetime while providing the ultimate summer bash for our Guests. The Birthday Department oversees birthday activities and special events, on a daily basis. Team Members are greeters, birthday party hosts, children’s activity directors, and more. Team Members ensure the quality of our Guest’s experience by providing the best possible experience through unparalleled Guest service, and attentive listening. Birthday hosts will be responsible for checking in birthday Guests, preparing and/or setting up the birthday area, providing food and beverage service, and dealing with Guest concerns as they arise in a professional and friendly manner. You ensure that our guests have an exciting and memorable experience all while keeping a smile and a Texas-Friendly attitude. Be available throughout their day to assist with and party related or park-related needs.

Department Qualifications:

• Experience working with children.
• Greets guests, gathers necessary tickets/supplies, provides seamless entry for the entire party, and assists throughout the duration of the party.
• Uses excellent judgment.
• Identifies problems and works quickly to find solutions.
• Works effectively with others, on all levels, in a positive and professional manner.
• Has excellent communication skills which include the ability to use clear, concise, and grammatically correct written and oral language in all aspects of interaction with Guests, Team Members, and Directors This position may require standing for long periods of time outdoors, exposed to the elements of nature, including but not limited to hot temperatures, direct sunlight, and rain.
• Interacts appropriately with children and Guests of all age groups.
• This position may require you to work in other positions, locations, and/or departments on an ad hoc basis.
• Complete any and all tasks given by Typhoon Texas management. 

General Qualifications:

• May be required to stand for long periods of time.
• May be required to lift at least 20-50 lbs.
• May be required to be exposed to direct sunlight, hot temperatures, or rain.
• Must be able to multitask and be flexible in a fast-paced environment.
• Must be able to work well with others.
• Must be able to communicate effectively.
