Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Fiber Optic Technician to join our dynamic telecommunications team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting fiber optic systems and network infrastructure in outdoor and indoor environments. Your expertise will ensure the reliable delivery of high-speed internet, telephony, and data services by working with fiber optic cables, telecommunications equipment, and related infrastructure. Duties
- Install, splice, and test fiber optic cables and systems in accordance with industry standards and safety protocols
- Use OTDR and telecommunications Power Meters to identify issues within fiber optic networks and troubleshoot technical problems effectively
- Interpret technical drawings, schematics, and engineering troubleshooting guides to ensure accurate installation and maintenance of telecommunications infrastructure
- Conduct telecommunications network cable splicing, low voltage wiring, and electrical connections following the National Electrical Safety Code (NESC) standards
- Support the installation of IT infrastructure such as LAN (Local Area Network), WAN (Wide Area Network), Ethernet cabling, telephony systems, and power tools usage for various construction tasks
- Interpret schematics and technical drawings to ensure precise cable routing and system configuration
- Maintain detailed records of work performed, including test results, splicing logs, and installation documentation
Qualifications
- Looking for expirianced fiber optic technicians. Higher rates if you have equpiment and experience.

Pay: $45.00 - $300.00 per hour
Expected hours: 60.0 – 96.0 per week
