Position Overview

The Inventory & Compliance Specialist is responsible for the accuracy, integrity, and regulatory compliance of all inventory operations within the facility. This role independently manages inventory reconciliation, Metrc reporting, and audit readiness while supporting cross-functional operational efficiency.

This position requires demonstrated proficiency in ERP/MRP systems, regulatory tracking tools, and inventory variance resolution.

Core Responsibilities Inventory Control & Reconciliation

  • Independently lead weekly cycle counts across all inventory categories.
  • Conduct monthly inventory reconciliations and resolve discrepancies.
  • Identify root causes of variances and implement corrective actions.
  • Maintain real-time alignment between physical inventory, ERP/MRP, and Metrc systems.
  • Ensure all inventory remains properly labeled and stored in assigned locations.

Regulatory Compliance & Metrc Management

  • Ensure full compliance with DCC and state inventory tracking regulations.
  • Complete all Metrc transactions, adjustments, and manifest receipts within required timelines.
  • Prepare and maintain audit-ready documentation.
  • Support internal and external audits as needed.
  • Monitor compliance risk areas and recommend process improvements.

Shipping, Transfers & Documentation

  • Oversee shipping and receiving documentation for accuracy and compliance.
  • Approve and document internal and external inventory transfers.
  • Maintain proper chain-of-custody procedures.
  • Coordinate with Production and Operations leadership to ensure production readiness.

ERP / MRP Oversight

  • Ensure all inventory movements are accurately recorded within ERP/MRP systems.
  • Review and validate Purchase Orders impacting inventory.
  • Provide reporting insights related to inventory trends and discrepancies.
  • Support process improvements related to inventory control systems.

Facility & Operational Support

  • Conduct monthly compliance and inventory-related facility inspections.
  • Train and mentor Level I Inventory Support staff.
  • Participate in cross-department planning meetings.
  • Recommend system and process enhancements to improve operational efficiency.

Qualifications

  • 2 years of inventory control experience (regulated environment preferred)
  • Demonstrated experience with ERP/MRP systems
  • Working knowledge of Metrc
  • Experience leading audits or reconciliation processes
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage regulatory deadlines
  • Valid driver’s license with clean driving record - REQUIRED

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $22.50 - $25.00 per hour
