Aircraft Painter

General Description
The team will augment services provided by Air Force military personnel to modify, maintain, inspect, control corrosion, overhaul, repair, regenerate and store various weapon systems, related components, missiles, engines, ground support equipment and vehicles.

Duties

• Provide support for performing aircraft/engine/special asset reseals as required IAW T.O and Sealing Diagrams for all assigned aircraft to be prepared for storage.
• Preserve aircraft, aircraft engines, and associated equipment, perform special reseals after parts removal from aircraft and for Process-In/Re-preservation by applying preservative sealant using specialized equipment. All work shall be accomplished IAW technical data/manuals, production work orders, and approved process orders.
• Other duties as assigned

Education/Experience Requirements

• Must have a high school diploma or equivalent
• Must have at least 3-5 years of applicable experience
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance

Physical Requirements

• Must be able to walk and stand on level and/or inclined surfaces for certain periods throughout the day.
• Must be able to climb stairs, ramps, ladders, and work stands.
• Must be able to crouch, crawl, grasp or handle objects, use finger dexterity, bend elbow/knee and reach above/below shoulders.
• May be required to lift up to 50 pounds.
• May be required to see aircraft in flight, read dials/gauges, identify small objects and hand tools.
• Must be able to see imperfections, micrometer readings and other small scales.
• Must be able to communicate by voice and detect sound by ear.
• Must be able to distinguish color and judge three-dimensional depth.
• May be required to operate power vehicles, machinery, hand tools, ground support equipment, fork lift, APU, etc.
