Job Overview
We are seeking an energetic and reliable CDL A Delivery Truck Driver to join our dynamic team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for safely operating tractor-trailers to deliver freight across designated routes. The CDL Class A Driver is responsible for the safe and timely transportation and delivery of forklifts, heavy equipment, batteries, and materials to and from Tynan Equipment Company to customer locations and facilities. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, professionalism, and customer service while representing the company.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate a CDL Class A vehicle, including flatbeds and trailers.
- Load, secure, transport, and unload forklifts and other material handling equipment in compliance with DOT regulations.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections and maintain inspection and driving logs.
- Ensure proper securement of equipment using chains and straps.
- Deliver and pick-up material handling equipment at customer locations in a timely and professional manner.
- Maintain accurate delivery paperwork and obtain required signatures.
- Report any vehicle or equipment maintenance issues immediately.
- Assist in yard organization and equipment staging when not on deliveries.
- Maintain compliance with all company policies, DOT regulations, and safety standards.
Qualifications
- Valid CDL Class A license with clean driving record.
- Must pass background check and drug screen
- Current DOT Medical Card
- Excellent customer service skills
- Experience hauling heavy equipment.
- Ability to operate forklifts (will train)
- Ability to work independently while managing time effectively.
- Minimum 2 years of driving experience preferred.
- Ability to lift 50 lbs.
- Ability to climb on/off trailers and equipment
- Ability to secure loads using chains and straps.
