Description:
The Accounts Receivable Specialist is responsible for all daily cash postings, credit card processing, collections, and reconciliations with a high degree of precision, confidentiality, and customer service. A successful candidate will be a team player, with good phone personality, excellent communication skills and attention to detail.
Responsibilities:
· Daily posting of customer payments by recording cash, checks, and credit card transactions
· Make collection calls and send emails to customers daily.
· Performs basic office tasks, including answering phones, responding to emails, processing mail, filing, etc.
· Coordinates with Controller regarding next step for uncollectible accounts
· Verifies the validity of account discrepancies and or short payments/ deductions by investigating and obtaining information from the sales team, customer service departments and customers to resolve them.
· Input invoice information into third party websites
· Responds to customers calls regarding questions
· Process monthly statements
· Issuing credit memos or refunds
· Summarizes receivable by maintaining and preparing monthly open receivables report.
· Provides support on adhoc projects and serves as backup support across accounting functions
· Performs other administrative and clerical tasks as required.
· Continually evaluate practices for process improvements
Requirements:
· Attention to detail

· 2 year accounting degree or equivalent experience
· Ability to work independently and intuitively
· Hands-on experience in operating spreadsheets and accounting software
· Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and Office
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $16.00 - $20.00 per hour
