ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES ASSIGNED:
- Measure and assemble ingredients for menu items
- Assist in setting up and breaking down workstations
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of prep areas, tools, and equipment
- Follow food safety and sanitation standards at all times
- Label, date, and store food properly to prevent spoilage
- Perform additional prep or cleaning duties as assigned by the culinary team
- Learn and maintain FIFO (First In, First Out) product rotation protocols.
- Wash, peel, chop, and slice vegetables and other ingredients as directed.
QUALIFICATIONS:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to multi-task and exhibit flexibility with schedule. Applicant must complete training on food safety of the Casino’s choosing. Must pass initial drug screening, background investigation and random drug tests.

EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE:
High School diploma, General Education Degree (GED). No experience necessary – we will train you!
LANGUAGE SKILLS:
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the casino and hotel.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide into all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rates, ratios, and percentages.
REASONING ABILITY:
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an individual to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the individual is regularly required to talk and hear. The individual is also regularly required to bend; stand; walk; sit; and use hand/eye coordination. The Individual must be able to lift at least 30 pounds. The individual may be required to stand for 8 hours.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:
The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those a team member encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud. When on the Casino floor, the noise level increases too loud. The Casino is a smoking environment, and the team member must be able to work in a smoke-filled atmosphere. Must be able to work in restricted space.
