Responsibilities & Qualifications
What You’ll Do
- Lead mechanical design for stations, tunnels, and transit facilities - including HVAC, tunnel ventilation, and supporting systems.
- Develop contract drawings, specifications, and technical reports for design packages.
- Perform engineering calculations and system modeling to drive efficiency, safety, and sustainability.
- Ensure designs meet NFPA, ASHRAE, and local code requirements.
- Collaborate with architects, structural, and electrical engineers to deliver fully integrated designs.
- Support design reviews, QA/QC, and technical guidance throughout project delivery.
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- 10 years of mechanical design experience for rail, transit, or complex building systems.
- Expertise in HVAC and tunnel ventilation design.
- Proven ability to produce high-quality design deliverables.
- Working knowledge of relevant codes and engineering standards.
- Strong technical judgment, creativity, and problem-solving mindset.
- Clear communicator who thrives in a collaborative, multidisciplinary team.
