Job Summary
TYLin is looking for a Principal Bridge Engineer to support global projects. The ideal candidate can be located near any of our major offices such as San Francisco, New York, Chicago, etc.
Responsibilities & Qualifications
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Industry expert recognized both within and outside the organization as a master in a professional discipline.
- Implements strategic goals established by functional leadership
- Establishes operational plans for own job area with short-to mid-term impact on results (e.g., 1-2 years)
- Provides measurable input into new processes, standards and/or operational plans that will have some impact on the achievement of overall function results
- Identify and pursue strategic opportunities with leadership and provides guidance on project acceptance / rejection
- Develops and delivers in-house training, contributes to the development of technical standards and criteria for the entire organization
- Communicates with parties within and outside of own job function, and typically has responsibilities for communicating with clients, agencies or sub-contractors
Expertise
- Experience and knowledge of all typologies of cast-in-place and precast segmental bridges.
- Deep foundations experience, scour, ship impact.
- Precast yard experience.
- R.E. of construction of cable-stay/extradosed bridges and segmental construction Arch bridges.
- Preliminary Design experience of Cable-stay and extradosed, and various typologies of Arch bridges.
- Geometry Control experience.
- Requires mastery level knowledge of job area typically obtained through advanced education combined with 15 years of experience
