The Senior Project Engineer will manage complex engineering projects within the foundry or machining areas, focusing on process improvement, equipment upgrades, and new technology implementation. This role requires a deep understanding of foundry operations, metallurgy, and manufacturing systems. The ideal candidate will drive innovation and ensure project alignment with strategic goals.

Job Specific Duties and Responsibilities (Other duties may be assigned.)
• Lead cross-functional engineering projects from concept through implementation, ensuring timelines, budgets, and quality standards are met.
• Analyze foundry processes and identify opportunities for efficiency, cost reduction, and quality improvement.
• Design and implement upgrades to melting, molding, and finishing operations.
• Collaborate with maintenance, production, and quality teams to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues.
• Develop and maintain project documentation including scope, schedules, budgets, and risk assessments.
• Ensure compliance with environmental, health, and safety regulations.
• Evaluate and integrate new technologies and automation systems.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers and interns.
- Support capital expenditure planning and justification.
Education and/or Experience
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Industrial, or Metallurgical Engineering (Master’s preferred).
• Five years of engineering experience in a foundry or heavy manufacturing environment.
• Proven track record of managing large-scale engineering projects.
• Strong knowledge of foundry practices, hydraulic and pneumatic systems, industrial ventilation, and fluid flow.
• Proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD, SolidWorks) and project management tools.
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills.
• PMP certification or equivalent project management training is desirable
