- UT Health Tyler, the flagship hospital of the system, has 502 licensed beds specializing in advanced acute care medicine. Our hospital includes a 24-hour ER with Level 1 trauma center, a comprehensive stroke center, more than 500 physicians and a full complement of subspecialty groups.
Responsibilities
- The clinical pharmacist I optimizes patient care by providing appropriate, safe, and cost-effective pharmaceutical care including drug dispensing, IV admixture program, and providing drug information.
- Works under the direction of the Director of Pharmacy and/or the Pharmacy Operations Manager and will oversee the work of pharmacy technicians, students, and support staff.
Qualifications
Job Requirements:
- B.S. or Pharm D. from an ACPE-accredited School of Pharmacy.
- Active Pharmacist license in good standing with the appropriate State Board of Pharmacy.
BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.
- ACLS certification required for attending Code Blue.
- Completion of the TSBP educational requirements in the field of compounding sterilepreparations OR must be capable of completing requirements within 90 days of hire date.
Preferred Job Requirements:
- Doctor of Pharmacy from an ACPE-accredited college of pharmacy.
- One year of inpatient hospital pharmacy experience.
