ABOUT

The Program Manager promotes the College and TJC North to foster a climate consistent with the College's core values, coordinates and oversees operations for general education courses and all programs offered at TJC North, and works cooperatively to implement the overall strategic and administrative planning of TJC North. The program manager will also develop and implement initiatives that target enrollment growth.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

Primary Responsibilities

Program/Course Development

  • Meet with advisory committee members, business and industry professionals, department chairs, instructors, and outside personnel to discuss new programming opportunities
  • Identify instructors for classes, participate in instructor meetings, and ensure all materials are provided for instructor/class success; Identification of vendor partnerships to secure instructors as needed
  • Develop and create new continuing education programs/courses for current clients through identification of market and training trends
  • Promote collaborative relationships with internal and external customers
  • Provide overarching project management for new initiatives at TJC North


Program/Course Operations

  • Interview potential new CE instructors for classes and regularly evaluate instructor performance
  • Provide required paperwork to ensure classes adhere to SACS and GIPWE guidelines
  • Oversee implementation of all classes for TJC North


Revenue Generation

  • Develop a strategic plan for meeting department revenue goals
  • Identify new course programs/offerings that meet required revenue goals for the department
  • Increase enrollment for existing and new programs, resulting in increased revenues for the department
  • Identify and propose partnership opportunities to generate incremental revenues
  • Ensure all Continuing Studies procedures and revenue standards are adhered to for community training programs


Secondary Responsibilities

  • Lead the writing and management of Texas Higher Education Coordinator Board/Texas Workforce Commission grants
  • Attending meetings and serving as part of community organizations, as it benefits TJC North
  • Coordinate with marketing and advertising efforts to develop initiatives for TJC North
  • Facilitate partnerships with communities and schools in the northern service district
  • Serving on college committees as assigned
  • Performing other duties as assigned by the Dean

If travel is required, the candidate must have and maintain a current, valid Texas driver’s license and an acceptable driving record.

WHO YOU ARE

Required Education

Bachelor’s Degree in business, public relations, organizational development, psychology, or other related field


Required Experience

Three years of business and industry experience, with at least one year working with program development or project management


Preferred Experience

Experience with grant management and/or grant writing

Experience working with Ellucian Banner
