Responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate all aspects of body shop production, ensuring timely completion of repairs and assembly tasks while maintaining quality standards.
- Develop and implement production schedules using ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) systems such as SAP, aligning with supply chain and inventory requirements.
- Monitor daily operations, identify bottlenecks, and execute process improvements utilizing lean manufacturing principles to enhance efficiency and reduce waste.
- Manage resource planning, including labor allocation, equipment utilization, and material flow, leveraging MRP (Material Requirements Planning) tools for optimal inventory management.
- Oversee quality control procedures to ensure compliance with safety regulations, industry standards, and customer expectations.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives by analyzing production metrics, implementing best practices, and fostering a culture of innovation within the team.
- Collaborate with supply chain management teams to optimize logistics, inventory levels, and procurement strategies supporting manufacturing goals.
Skills
- Proven experience in production management within manufacturing or assembly environments, preferably in automotive or similar industries.
- Strong knowledge of SAP, ERP systems, MRP processes, and supply chain analytics for effective planning and resource allocation.
- Expertise in lean manufacturing methodologies and process improvement techniques to enhance productivity and reduce costs.
- Mechanical knowledge related to vehicle body repair processes, assembly techniques, and equipment maintenance.
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate teams, manage plant operations efficiently, and foster a safety-first culture.
