Duties
- Respond promptly to emergency calls for water, fire, mold, or flood damage restoration projects.
- Perform cleaning, debris removal, and sanitation to prepare properties for further restoration work.
- Conduct fire and flood restoration activities utilizing specialized equipment and techniques.
- Execute water extraction, drying, and moisture detection using advanced tools such as moisture meters and dehumidifiers.
- Assist with mold remediation procedures following industry standards to eliminate health hazards.
- Utilize hand tools and power tools for demolition, repair, or construction tasks as needed during the mitigation process.
- Apply respiratory protection and other safety measures diligently to ensure personal safety and compliance with industry regulations.
Experience
- Prior experience in the restoration industry is highly preferred, especially in mitigation roles involving water damage, fire damage, or mold remediation.
- Knowledge of Xactimate or similar estimating software is advantageous for documenting work scope and costs.
- Hands-on experience with construction activities, including drywall repair, carpet cleaning, or asbestos abatement, is a plus.
- Familiarity with the use of hand tools and power tools necessary for demolition and repair tasks.
- Strong understanding of safety protocols related to respiratory protection and hazardous materials handling.
- Ability to respond quickly in emergency situations with a proactive attitude toward safety and efficiency.
