In this role, you'll be responsible for ensuring the health, safety, and comfort of our furry residents while maintaining a clean and organized kennel facility. Your enthusiasm for animal handling and pet care will help create a positive experience for pets and their owners alike.
Responsibilities
- Provide daily care and supervision for animals including feeding, watering, grooming, and administering medications as directed.
- Clean and sanitize kennels, runs, play areas, and common areas.
- Safely handle and manage dogs of different sizes, breeds, and temperaments.
- Monitor animals’ behavior and health, reporting any concerns
- Follow individual feeding, medication, and care instructions
- Assist with bathing, nail trims, and other basic pet-care services as needed.
- Help with daycare activities and dog enrichment
- Follow all kennel safety, sanitation, and do emergency protocols
- Assist trainers and groomers when needed
- Restock supplies and help maintain inventory
- Communicate professionally with clients and coworkers
- Perform other duties related to the daily operation of the facility as assigned.
Qualifications
- Previous experience working with animals in veterinary clinics, pet boarding facilities, or kennels is highly preferred BUT not required
- Knowledge of animal handling, restraint techniques, and pet grooming practices
- Experience in veterinary assisting or technician roles is a strong plus
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely when handling large animals or equipment
- Strong customer service skills to communicate effectively with pet owners and team members
- Familiarity with animal behavior principles and pet care facility sanitization standards
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment

Pay: $10.00 - $15.00 per hour
