Tycore HVAC Services is a premium residential HVAC contractor (CSLB #1107195, C-20) specializing in mini-split and VRF systems, high-performance ductwork, and mechanical installations for high-end custom remodels. We're a small, quality-focused shop in a deliberate growth phase — not a high-volume production outfit. We care about doing it right: proper duct design, tight envelope work, and craftsmanship that holds up to inspection and to time.
## The Role
We're looking for an HVAC Installer/Technician to join our crew on residential remodel and new construction projects across Santa Barbara and Ventura County. You'll work on mini-split and VRF installations, ductwork fabrication and installation, and system commissioning — collaborating directly with the owner and general contractors on premium custom homes.
## What You'll Do
- Install ductless and VRF mini-split systems per manufacturer specs and Title 24 requirements
- Fabricate, install, and seal ductwork to high-performance leakage standards
- Read and work from Manual J/D/S load calculations and mechanical plans
- Perform startup, commissioning, and charge verification on completed systems
- Troubleshoot and diagnose system issues on service calls
- Maintain clean, organized, safety-compliant job sites
- Communicate professionally with clients, architects, and GCs on-site
## What We're Looking For
- 2 years of HVAC installation experience (residential preferred)
- Familiarity with ductless mini-split and/or VRF systems a strong plus
- Working knowledge of California mechanical code and Title 24 basics
- Comfortable reading plans and load calculations
- EPA 608 certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record
- Own hand tools; we provide specialty tools and equipment
- Strong work ethic, attention to detail, and pride in clean workmanship
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus but not required
