Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Construction Estimator for Commercial projects to join our dynamic team. The Construction Estimator will play a vital role in bidding, budgeting, and managing costs throughout the project lifecycle, contributing to the company's reputation for delivering quality commercial construction projects on time and within budget.
Duties
- Experience in bidding acoustical walls and painting projects is highly preferred.
- Prepare detailed and accurate construction cost estimates for commercial projects using estimating tools.
- Analyze project plans, specifications, and contracts to determine scope of work and required resources.
- Collaborate with architects, engineers, subcontractors, and clients to gather pricing information and negotiate terms.
- Develop comprehensive bid proposals that include pricing, schedules, and resource allocation.
- Monitor project costs during execution to ensure adherence to budgets through effective cost control measures.
- Assist in the development of project schedules and manage procurement processes.
- Review contracts and change orders to assess impact on project costs and timelines.
- Provide support in project management activities including risk analysis, value engineering, and site logistics planning.
- Maintain detailed records of estimates, bids, and related documentation for future reference and analysis.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in construction estimating with a focus on commercial projects.
- Experience in bidding Acoustical Wall and painting projects is highly preferred.
- Proficiency with construction management software.
- Strong knowledge of construction estimating techniques, cost control strategies, and pricing methodologies.
- Excellent negotiation skills with the ability to work effectively with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers.
- Solid understanding of construction site operations, contracts, and project management principles.
- Ability to interpret complex construction drawings and specifications accurately.
- Effective communication skills to present estimates clearly and collaborate across teams.
- Prior experience in construction site environments is preferred but not mandatory.
- Relevant educational background in Construction Management or related field is advantageous.
