What are the responsibilities and job description for the Security Officer position at TXO Partners?
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Protect the company's property and staff by maintaining a safe and secure environment
- Observe for signs of crime or disorder and investigate disturbances
- Act lawfully in direct defense of life or property
- Apprehend criminals and evict violators
- Take accurate notes of unusual occurrences
- Report in detail on any suspicious incidents
- Patrol randomly or regularly building and perimeter
- Monitor and control access at building entrances and vehicle gates
- Watch alarm systems or video cameras and operate detecting/emergency equipment
- Contacts law enforcement or fire department in case of an emergency
- Performs other related duties as assigned
- Work schedule is weekends and overnight hours (3rd shift).
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Proven work experience as a Security Guard or relevant position preferred
- Ability to operate detecting systems and emergency equipment
- Excellent knowledge of public safety and security procedures/protocols
- Surveillance skills and detail orientation
- Ability to remain calm in high-pressure situations
- Ability to learn the layout of the property and building
- Must have a valid Driver’s License
- Must be able to comply with all company policies and procedures
