At TX-STAR Speech Language Services, we partner with school districts across Texas to support students with diverse learning needs. We are currently hiring Educational Diagnosticians for school-based opportunities across Texas.

This role is ideal for professionals who are passionate about assessment, data-driven decision-making, and ensuring students receive the appropriate support to succeed in an educational setting.

What You’ll Do

As an Educational Diagnostician, you will play a critical role in evaluating student needs and supporting eligibility and planning for special education services.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Conduct comprehensive psychoeducational assessments and evaluations

  • Interpret assessment data to determine eligibility for special education services

  • Support the development of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)

  • Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and multidisciplinary teams

  • Participate in ARD/IEP meetings and present evaluation results

  • Conduct reevaluations in compliance with state and federal guidelines

  • Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant documentation

  • Stay current with federal and Texas special education regulations and best practices

What You’ll Need

  • Valid Texas certification as an Educational Diagnostician or School Psychologist

  • Experience administering and interpreting cognitive, academic, and behavioral assessments

  • Strong understanding of IDEA, FERPA, and special education compliance requirements

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • Ability to collaborate effectively with school teams and families

  • Strong organizational and time management skills

  • Flexibility to support multiple campuses as needed
